This fact was actually insane for me to find out.

The longest hiccuping spree on record lasted 68 years. Charles Osborne, an American farmer, started hiccuping in 1922 and couldn’t stop until 1990. Doctors tried everything, but nothing worked. He was hiccuping up to 40 times a minute at first, though it eventually slowed down. By the end, he estimated a whopping 430 million hiccups over his lifetime.
